HFH LAUNCHED THE CENTER OF PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT OF VASCULAR DISEASES

From March 2023, Hanoi French Hospital (HFH) officially launched the Center of Prevention, Diagnosis and Management of Vascular Diseases.

 

 

The danger of vascular diseases                                                             

 

The vascular system in the human body has the function of transporting water, oxygen, nutrients to the organs and plays an essential role in maintaining human life. In case of disease of the vascular system, the blood flow can be blocked, causing damage to the organs.

 

Vascular diseases can cause serious complications such as myocardial infarction and stroke - two of the leading causes of death and disability in Vietnam today- with an increasingly younger trend. Anyone is at risk of vascular diseases, but not at the same level.

 

Vascular risk factors are well identified: untreated high blood pressure, diabetes, sedentarily, obesity, high level of cholesterol… The important thing to understand is that these risk factors are modifiable. Treating them has a real positive impact on the vascular disease risk, and therefore on the health and the life expectancy.

 

The individual risk can be assessed by specialized doctors. After this assessment, a personalized treatment can be proposed in order to minimize the possibility of death and prevent dangerous complications. For people who already had vascular complications, it is also possible to reduce the risk of recurrence with a specialized personalized care, and an appropriate follow-up.

HFH launched the Center of Prevention, Diagnosis and Management of Vascular Diseases

 

With the aim of providing patients with in-depth consultation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of vascular diseases in general, stroke and myocardial infarction in particular, from March 2023, HFH officially launched the Center of Prevention, Diagnosis and Management of Vascular Diseases. The center has the participation of experienced doctors from specialties: Dr. Mathieu Nalpas – General & Family Medicine, Dr. Sabrina Stefanizzi Debuc – Neurology, Dr. Phạm Thu Thủy – Clinical and Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Mùi –Endocrinology, Dr. Trần Phạm Hải – Pneumology & Allergology...

 

With multi-specialty coordination according to international standardized procedures, patients receive the best care and treatment to minimize the consequences of vascular diseases or to reduce the risk of a first vascular event. Doctors across specialties will coordinate to complete the diagnosis and treatment process and improve treatment efficiency to help prevent complications and the risk of recurrence. The goal is double: “primary prevention”, for patients who had never had vascular complications, to reduce the risk or first vascular event (stroke, myocardial infarction), and “secondary prevention” for people who ever had a complication.

 

Registered for screening and treatment at HFH, patients will receive a two-step examination: a first general assessment of the vascular risk, and then, according to this first assessment, a personalized care will be proposed. From a basic follow up for low-risk people, to a multidisciplinary approach for high-risk people: cardiologists, neurologist, endocrinologists, general practitioner will coordinate themselves to give the most appropriate care to the patients.

 

For patients who had unfortunately already had vascular events, our team can help to reduce the consequences of functional and psychological impairment due to vascular diseases, by in particular a specialized rehabilitation, in order to improve the quality of life.

 

HFH organized Vascular Risk Factors Workshop & Screening to raise awareness of disease protection in the community

 

On the launch of the Center of Prevention, Diagnosis and Management of Vascular Diseases, on March 25^th, 2023 in Hanoi, HFH held Vascular Risk Factors Workshop & Screening for all interested customers who registered to participate.

 

The Workshop was organized with the dedicated participation of HFH international trained doctors - who are under the Center of Prevention, Diagnosis and Management of Vascular Diseases. Our doctors have made intensive presentations on vascular diseases in particular and cardiovascular in general as well as measures to prevent and manage these diseases. Specific topics related to vascular diseases which were shared by experienced doctors with scientific evidences received significant attention from participants such as: cardiovascular diseases and risk factors; hypertension and ischemic myocardiopathy; diabetes and vascular risks; sleep apnea, and how to reduce the stroke risks.
