ADVANTAGES OF DELIVERY AT HANOI FRENCH HOSPITAL
The new maternity department is situated on the fourth floor. Double occupancy is inclusive in the packages. We also provide single occupancy rooms, kangaroo rooms and an executive suite for your convenience. Each of maternity room is appointed with a baby bath to comfort newborn care. Room types are subject to availability.
Two pre-delivery rooms with state-of-the-art CTG monitoring equipment, five delivery rooms, two post-delivery rooms, a dedicated OT and adjacent NICU together with caring doctors and midwives, ensure convenience for all deliveries.
No antibiotics after surgery
At HFH we follow strict hygiene and sterilization protocols for all procedures.
Because of our high standards expecting mothers do not routinely require an antibioprophylaxis before or after a C-section. Antibiotics will only be given under special circumstances.
Experienced anesthesiologists
An internationally trained team of French and Vietnamese anesthesiologists supports your obstetrician to guarantee you a pain free and comfortable delivery. A free consultation with an anesthesiologists is included in the package at 37 weeks of pregnancy.
Availability of important special medicines (not always available in local hospitals) such as anti-D serum and Hepatitis B immunoglobulin are readily available for mothers with Rh(-) blood group or Hepatitis B.
Newborn skin to skin contact
Skin-to skin contact has many beneficial effects for mother and baby (Decision No. 4673QD-BYT November 2014 by the Ministry of Health). At HFH we have achieved 100% skin-to skin contact under the guidance of our experienced midwives.
Comprehensive postnatal care
HFH obstetricians and pediatricians guarantee the best and most comprehensive postnatal care. Consultations with the obstetrician for the mother and consultation with the pediatrician for the baby are included in our Maternity and Delivery Packages.
Our obstetricians have been internationally trained in leading European Institutions and are experienced in delivering high quality pregnancy care. There is at least one obstetrician on duty at all time to attend to you together with our highly skilled and caring midwives.
Prenatal screening for Streptococcus Group B
This test is used to detect the presence of Strep B bacterium in the vagina or rectum of pregnant women. If detected in time it allows proper treatment to minimize the risk of serious neonatal infection which can occur during delivery if untreated. The test is included in the Maternity and Delivery Package offered at 38 weeks of pregnancy.
Treatment protocol for the transmission prevention of Hepatitis B virus from mother to infant
Patients with Hepatitis B will be tested for virus count treatment at the third trimester of pregnancy to minimize the risk of transmission to the baby. Infants of Hep B positive mothers will be provided with Hep B Immunoglobulin and Hep B vaccine 24 hours after birth, which is excluded in the packages.
Continuous monitoring during labor
When there are signs of labor women can be admitted to the hospital at any time of day. We will continuously monitor mother and the baby’s heart rate to ensure the baby’s wellbeing during labor. Continuous monitoring allows the doctor to appropriately adjust the treatment needs in a timely manner.
State-of- the-art fetal ultrasound systems
Volusion belongs to the newest generation of E8 Expert 3D/4D fetal ultrasound machines which enables the doctors to generate realistic 3D and 4D images of the fetus through stages of development and to detect any abnormalities at an early stage.
